I Cooked!!!

Ok for those of you who really know me know that I can't cook. I don't really know how, I don't have the time always and I just don't really like it. My mother-in-law gave us this "Magic Pan" awhile ago and I've yet to use it. I had no idea where to even start! My mom came down a few weeks ago and I wanted her to teach me how to make a roast. So we pulled out the Magic pan and I made a roast. It was SOOOO yummy!! We forgot to take after pictures (we were so hungry and it smelled so good we couldn't wait).



So, because my blog posts are always about Zoey I have to add her in here! And, since we're talking about food, here's a few pictures of Zoey feeding herself. She is getting so good at it!


But then she gets board being good and resorts back to using her hands. Oh, and she hasn't gotten over the "I'm done eating so lets throw all my food and plates and everything on the floor" phase, hopefully that won't last too much longer!

Max's Birthday

Zoey's cousin, Max, turned 3 a few weeks ago. We went over and had cake and ice cream with them to celebrate. We had a wonderful evening just relaxing and letting the kids play.

Zoey has a ton of fun with all their toys. She loves going over to Max and Kylee's house to visit. She's such a strong kid. She loves to try and pick up heavy things and carry them around!

What's a Birthday Party without Cake!! Max loves cars so what better then a car cake!



I know Zoey sure enjoyed her cake and ice cream!!! We're glad you invited us to celebrate your birthday Max!

Zoey Missing Mommy

Clay likes to grab out the camera whenever he gets a chance. This day he pulled it our right after I had left for work. This is one of the many reasons I DON'T WANT TO WORK!! Zoey would go through phases where she'd cry and scream when I left or be happy and wave and stuff. Now that I work at 6 am I don't even get to see her before I leave (this makes mommy sad). But, I know she's in good hands with my amazing husband Clay. He says that even on her angry days she only cries/fusses for like 2 minutes and then is fine. I think it's because he tempts her with food!



Oh second though, maybe she's just crying because Daddy has the camera out again?!!!

PS: she does miss her dad too when he's not around. She always points to picutres of him and says 'Dadda'!

One of Zoey's Many Loves

Zoey loves shoes, any shoe will do. She loves to play with them and will go from pair to pair. Here's a photo shoot we got of Zoey with Daddy's shoes. We should try and get some video of her walking around! It's too cute!

Zoey's Favorite Spot

Zoey has found a favorite spot in the house...

The arm of the couch! I use to be so scared when she'd go near the arm because I was afraid she'd fall over the edge (she did once) but she's such a big girl now and she has great balance! She is always sitting, laying and crawling over the arm of the couch. Here are a few pictures of some of her favorite positions.





She'll sit/lay on the edge and watch tv or play. I can't believe how much she has grown. I think it's amazing the balance she's developed and how aware she is of her surroundings.

Zoey's New Dress

Yes, this is a picture of me sewing. My mom came and visited a while ago and I've really been in the mood to learn more how to sew (I haven't sewn in like 10 years). So we went shopping and bought a few patterns and fabric. To start me on a few basics she taught me how to make this adorable shirt dress.

We started with a basic shirt and added fabric on the bottom and on the sleeves as cuffs. I think it turned out absolutely adorable! I can't wait to make a few more! I even have a few ideas to adjust it a little more to make it fit Zoey better. Who knows maybe I'll even make some and put them on my Etsy site.

Here are a few pictures of Zoey in the dress. She wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get a great picture but I think you get the idea!

I love the little buttons on her collar. We added those to tie everything together, it was the perfect touch! I also love these bows. I bought them from my friend Cami and once I realized they matched this dress I was SOO excited! They are perfect!

She loved playing in her dress. This picture also shows the cool tags that I made for her baskets on the toy shelf. I thought the tags turned out wonderful!!!


I love the dress so much I had to put it on when we went to see family and I thought this was just too cute. Zoey is giving her cousin Kylee kisses! They are so cute together!
