I'm not a big believer in superstitious stuff. I don't read my horoscope or even know what my sign is. But I love Chinese food and I love to eat fortune cookies and laugh at the messages inside. Usually I'll add "in the bathroom" or "in bed" at the end of the fortune and laugh! (try it, you'll laugh too)
Anyways, life has been busy and stressful and tough sometimes and I've had some good and bad days (don't we all). I happened to get lunch for my boss and I and we had Chinese. YUMMY!!!! I ate a fortune cookie while we were talking and it said 'Your ability to juggle many tasks will take you far.' Nice! A fortune cookie that actually knew me! My boss loved it too! It made me feel good too since I was having kind of a rough day. Then just a few minutes ago I went to eat the other fortune cookies sitting on my desk (remember I love to eat fortune cookies!) and this was the fortune 'You will soon emerge victorious from the maze you've been traveling in.' Wow, how is it that fortune cookies either make me laugh hysterical or seem to say exactly what I need to hear! I though this was just some sort of fluke that I got two cool messages in one day. So I had one more cookie on my desk and decided to eat it and have a laugh (there's no way all 3 messages are good right?) It said, 'Your skills will accomplish what the force of many cannot.' Um... all I have to say after today is CREEPY......
Disclaimer: I know that all fortune cookies are written in such a vauge way that you can apply it to just about anything and anyone but for somereason these cookies hit me in a good way today...speaking of fortune cookies, look at these homemade fortune cookies. Cool hu?! Maybe I'll get some made for future bad days!
